First Flakes!

From our on-the-ground reporters in Woodbridge, we have first flakes at 9:35 AM and here in Arlington, at approximately 10:10 AM.  Snow has quickly picked up from flurries to steady light snow.  Buckle up, it's going to be a long ride.

20-22 inches now seems like the low end of the range for the DC area, there will be many areas of 2 feet or more.  I'm still reviewing the models and radar to check storm track.

3-5 inches by late afternoon, driving should still be ok but will deteriorate rapidly as evening approaches.
