A mixture of sleet and snow is falling in Arlington right now, I suspect more sleet than snow to the south and less sleet to the north. This should all change back over to snow after midnight when the storm off the coast really gets going.
The National Weather Service has officially decreased the forecast snow totals for the DC metro area to 8-12 inches.
The heaviest snow should fall tomorrow morning and with it, another serious concern: winds. It's possible that winds could gust to 45 mph tomorrow - which could cause big problems with trees and power lines.

Huh, there hasn't been anything come down in Glen Burnie for a little while now.
ReplyDeleteWe're having a bit of a break here in N. Arlington as well after getting about 2+ inches earlier.
